Hello, I’m Marine, a Frenchwoman living in Barcelona. I'm petite, standing at 1.49 meters tall. Naturally, I don't fit the criteria of today's major fashion brands. It must be said that at 32 years old, I still shop in the children's section.

To feel more feminine, I had to invent my own wardrobe. For that, I drew inspiration from the old "Sew-your-own patterns" in vintage Vogue magazines.

After years of pattern-making and sourcing, I proudly launched LēMono: a stylish wardrobe that can be worn in any situation and fits any style of woman. 

Propelled by the Ulule crowdfunding platform in 2020, surpassing its goal by 305% (with 350 pieces in total), Lēmono reached about 1000 houses of empowered women.

The essence of Lēmono: 

For me, fashion is more than a necessity; it's a lifestyle. I've struggled a lot with body image, and today, even if I'm feeling better, if I have one of those days where I feel bad and don’t want to get out of bed, I look for the perfect outfit that I'll be proud to wear in the office or to see my friends.

There are many forms of communication. Lēmono has been my way to spread my vision and values—and my voice to fight for what matters to me: a fairer world where every woman has a space to express their uniqueness, no matter their silhouette, size, or age.

I've been working in the fashion industry for 8 years now, and I know how impactful this industry is on global warming and how blurred the processes are. That’s why I always stand for sustainable fabrics and transparency.

Sometimes, the process is even more important than the results, and I’m closing this part of Lēmono's journey with infinite gratitude for the amazing energy and support I received along the project, the hundreds of empowered women I’ve crossed paths with, and the learning I've gained from what has been a big part of my professional and personal life.

This is just the beginning 

Through the brand, I’ve seen the evolution of myself, my tastes, and inspirations. People change and brands do too—and I’m excited about giving myself more space to work on new ways to express my evolving aspirations.
